I have invested in several "PHP App generation tools" for quite some time (+15 years) and I have gone through several known ones with some good, bad and worst experiences. Where are my applications hosted?
You host the generated applications yourself on your own web server, hosting account, company server, or cloud server.
AppGini does not force you into a hosted platform. This gives you full control over where your application runs and where your data is stored.
What are the server requirements for apps created by AppGini?
Generated applications are standard PHP scripts, so you can host them on any web server that supports PHP 8.0 or later and a MySQL 5.6+ or MariaDB 10+ database.
Most cPanel-based or Plesk-based hosting services work fine. You can also use cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Azure, or a self-managed Ubuntu server with Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
Can multiple users access the applications I create?
Yes. AppGini apps include built-in multi-user access. You can create users, organize them into groups, and assign permissions for each table.
This allows you to control who can view, add, edit, or delete records, so each user or group only gets access to the data and actions they are allowed to use.
What are the limitations of the AppGini Free Edition?
The Free Edition is useful for evaluation, education, and small projects. It allows up to 8 tables per app and 8 fields per table.
